Pressure washing a wooden deck before staining

Power washing in Santa Rosa and the North Bay

Prepare surfaces for paint or restore curb appeal with a thorough clean, on its own or as part of a complete exterior project.

  • Free, no-obligation estimates

A clean surface is a better surface

Dirt, mildew and chalky, oxidized paint keep new coatings from bonding, and they make even a well-kept property look tired. Power washing removes that buildup so the surface is ready for paint or stain, or simply looks fresh again.

We offer power washing throughout Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties, either on its own or as the first step of an exterior painting or deck staining project.

What we remove

  • Dirt and grime
  • Mildew
  • Stains
  • Oxidation
  • Loose and peeling paint
  • Weathered buildup

How power washing works

Every project starts with a free, no-obligation estimate and ends with a clean site and a final walk through.

  1. Look at the surfaces

We check the material and its condition so we use the right pressure and approach.

  2. Protect the area

We cover plants, fixtures and openings that shouldn't get wet.

  3. Wash

We clean siding, decks, walkways or other surfaces from top to bottom.

  4. Dry and next steps

Surfaces dry before any paint or stain goes on, and we let you know if anything needs repair.

Common questions

Can I book power washing without painting?

Yes. Power washing is available on its own or as part of an exterior painting project.

Is power washing safe for wood and siding?

Yes, when it's done with the right pressure for the material. We adjust our approach for wood, siding, stucco and concrete.

Why wash before painting?

Paint doesn't bond well to dirt, mildew or chalky old paint. Washing first helps the new finish last longer.

How long before you can paint after washing?

Surfaces need to dry fully first. We plan the schedule so paint and stain go on at the right time.

Do you power wash decks, fences and concrete?

Yes. We clean decks, fences, siding, stucco and concrete, adjusting the pressure for each surface so it comes out clean without damage.
